Welcome back! Today I'm excited to share something that I've been working on with my fabulous mentor and teacher Will Baker. Will is the bass trombonist with the Monterey Symphony Orchestra in California, and was previously the bass trombonist with the Des Moines Symphony and Orchestra Iowa, where he helped conduct dozens of Low Brass Days, masterclasses, and more which I took part in as a younger student.

The last couple of years, Will has been working on a project to promote fluency in all 12 keys. His #GetFluent sequences take a theme or melody from a piece that he enjoys or has been working on, and transposes it to facilitate practicing in less common keys.

This week, Will chose to feature my sequence from The Beatles' Eleanor Rigby. You can read more about why I chose this tune and the history of the song on his website.

As always, if you have any questions, comments, or criticisms please contact me and be sure to subscribe to my mailing list to be notified when I post updates like this. You can find more information about Will and check out his other sequences at www.willbakermusic.com/getfluent.
